NEW YORK — NFL owners voted Thursday to accept the negotiated terms for a new collective bargaining agreement.

With the league eager to reach a collective bargaining agreement with the players in the next few weeks, team representatives were summoned to New York on Thursday to discuss the NFL's proposal.

The NFL Players Association has scheduled a conference call for Friday to discuss the terms.

The terms of the new agreement weren't announced Thursday as part of the NFL's statement. However, reports from Wednesday indicated the league is seeking to add a 17th regular season game, and expanding and re-tooling the playoffs, among other changes.
