KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Pastor Nancy Kerr is looking for 15 couples who are fans of the Kansas City Chiefs to get married the day before Super Bowl LV in Florida.

Kerr runs KC Weddings 2 Go in Independence, Missouri, which has been performing mobile weddings since 1991.

This Saturday, Kerr will set up her mobile wedding van at the Arrowhead South Chiefs fan club’s Run it Back 2 Back BBQ Tour VIP charity event taking place at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida.

At the event, she’ll wed 15 Chiefs couples for free. She’ll also renew the vows of married couples in attendance. Participants will have to pay for the $100 ticket to enter the charity event. Admission includes food and drink.

Kerr said a wedding needs excitement and there’s not much more exciting for Chiefs fans than having the team in the Super Bowl.

“I think everybody is naturally extremely energetic right now,” she said. “Who doesn’t want to get re-married or renew their vows in Chiefs attire?”

Kerr is no stranger to the Super Bowl. Head and Shoulders shampoo featured her as a “headstrong business” in a Super Bowl commercial in 2019 during Super Bowl LIII.

The pastor chose the number 15 in honor of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He is currently engaged, but Kerr doesn’t think he’ll participate in the wedding event Saturday. She did preside over Royals player Salvador Perez’s wedding.

“We’re excited, we are prepared, we are Chiefs Kingdom all the way,” Kerr said.

Couples interested in getting married Saturday can reach out to Kerr by calling 913-244-8528 or 816-726-7471, or by emailing kcweddings2go@gmail.com.

Kerr will be posting updates from her road trip on her Facebook page.
