KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Democratic members of the House of Representatives from the Kansas City and Tampa areas are making a friendly wager on the outcome of Super Bowl LV.

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver II (D-Mo.) and Rep. Sharice Davids (D-Kan.) have put the Chiefs up against the Buccaneers and Rep. Kathy Castor (D-Fla.) and Rep. Charlie Crist (D-Fla.).

If the Chiefs win the big game, the Florida representatives will send Cleaver and Davids Latina guava pastries, flan and Cuban sandwiches from Tampa. They will also wear Chiefs face masks on the House Floor when Congress is in session.

If the Buccaneers win the game, the Kansas City area representatives will send Castor and Crist barbecue and wear Buccaneers masks on the House Floor.

“Chiefs Kingdom has been ready to Run It Back since last February, and the only way we fail to do so is if we miss the bus to the game on Sunday afternoon,” Cleaver said in a release. “As the confetti begins to fall on Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Chief champions on Sunday night, the only thing I’ll savor more than a second Lombardi trophy is the delectable desserts provided by my good friends, Reps. Castor and Crist. Let’s go Chiefs!”

The Chiefs and Buccaneers face off Sunday evening in Super Bowl LV in Tampa.
