KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Royals catcher Salvador Perez suffered an injury to his right elbow in Wednesday's workout in Surprise, Arizona, the team announced Friday.
The Royals said Perez had an MRI on Thursday, which showed damage to the ligament.
Perez will travel to Los Angeles next week for a second opinion.
