KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The high school football state playoffs are in full swing on both sides of the state line and our Snap, Tackle and Pod crew is back to break down all the action.

41 Action News Sports Director Mick Shaffer and PrepsKC Managing Editor Dion Clisso discuss the week’s biggest storylines and offer predictions for every playoff game in Missouri and Kansas.

Will undefeated Liberty North (11-0) end Tony Severino’s storied 37-year head coaching career at Rockhurst (8-3) in the Missouri Class 6A District 4 semifinals?

Can St. James Academy (5-4) upset undefeated St. THomas Aquinas (8-0) in Kansas Class 5A Regional action?

Other signature matchups include a pair of 9-2 teams, Park Hill and Raymore-Peculiar, squaring off in the other Class 6 District 4 semifinal.

Undefeated Lincoln Prep (11-0) hosts Excelsior Springs (8-3) in a tough Class 4 District semifinal with the winner slated to meet the Smithville (10-1) at Platte County (8-3) winner.

Tonganoxie (9-0) and Paola (9-0) will try to remain perfect in Kansas Class 4A. The top-seeded Chieftains host Spring Hill (5-4), while the second-seeded Panthers drew Piper (4-5).
