KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs players virtually rallied around one of their youngest fans on Sunday to wish him a happy birthday.
Bryan Reese, a Chiefs fan in Los Angeles, put a call out Saturday on social media for at least one Chiefs player to wish his son, Jacobo, a happy birthday. Reese said in the tweet that Jacobo’s fifth birthday party was canceled.
Multiple players and people from the team reached out -- and defensive end Demone Harris even called the Reese family.
“It just makes me feel like it was memorable for him,” Reese said, "because I feel like today would have been more about what didn’t happen, and now it’s memorable for him for a good reason.”
Tyrann Mathieu, Juan Thornhill, Mecole Hardman and Gehrig Dieter were among those who sent birthday wishes to Jacobo.
