Stephanie Summers is a two time Emmy nominated host/producer of Kansas City Live who grew up across the state in St. Louis. As a child, she practiced newscasting and play-by-play at her brother’s baseball games. Fast forward a few years, Stephanie says she hit the “big time” (in her own mind) when she was given the opportunity to interview her favorite MLB manager, Tony La Russa. She went on to intern at the TV stations she grew up watching.
Summers worked in reality casting in the Windy City - apparently, Chicago’s weather wasn’t cold enough for her. So she bought a heavier coat, lots of socks, and moved to North Dakota to anchor & produce the evening news. From North Dakota, she landed in Central Illinois at the NBC affiliate, where she anchored a two-hour morning show. Next step was truly PARADISE, sunny Florida, where she hosted her own travel show, “Paradise TV,” as well as serving as host for the Ft. Meyers Fox affiliate lifestyle show: “The Morning Blend.”
