First Federal Bank at 8308 NW Prairie View Road was robbed at about 9:25 a.m. Wednesday.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’0” tall and between 30 and 40-years-old. He was wearing a fake beard, dark polo shirt, and fisherman style hat at the time of the robbery. According to police, he entered the bank and gave the teller a demand note and threatened a weapon. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to Park University, the school is on lockdown after receiving word that the FBI is searching the Northland for the bank robbery suspect. As a precautionary measure, the Department of Campus Safety has locked down all Parkville Campus buildings.  All employees and students have been told to remain in the office or building they are currently in until Campus Safety personnel issue an all clear notice.

No injuries have been reported.
