When did you start working here?
July 2017

Where else have you worked?
WAAY 31 in Huntsville, AL and WLNS in Lansing, MI while I was in school.

Northwestern University

What are you most proud of when it comes to your work?
While in Alabama, I kick-started my station’s investigative unit by uncovering leaders embezzling funds from two of the largest veterans groups in the city. Through that story, I became really close to the veterans affected, and helping them taught me what kind of journalist I wanted to be.

What are you most proud of in your own life?
While in college, I studied abroad in a rural village outside Jinja, Uganda. While there, I worked with classmates at a local health clinic and had the opportunity to learn about a culture completely different from my own.

What do you love about living in the KC area?
Burnt ends and brews make the list, but the best part is being back in the Midwest after time away. I grew up in Springfield, IL.

What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions?
Char Bar in Westport, the Nelson-Atkins, and I can’t wait to see games at the K and Arrowhead!
