Emmaline Twist’s sound can be described as a hybrid of styles, combining the sounds of 80’s Post-Punk with 90’s Shoegaze. The band was started by Meredith (vocals/guitar) and Krysztof (baritone guitar) in early 2016 and acquired Kristin (bass/vocals) and Jon (drums) soon after, played their first show in May of 2016. After performing regionally over the past two years, the band is about to release a full-length vinyl release called “Dissimulation” on Black Site Records, and has recently added keyboardist Alex Alexander to create an even larger live sound.
