Joe Rubeo started RUBEO in August 2017 as a solo project with him playing guitar, keys, and vocals. He knew his drummer Cam from work and they used to jam in the garage for fun. He now produces about 95% of his music straight from his phone through an app called Auxy
Joe's musical influence stems from artists like David Gilmour, Phil Collins and Daryl Stuermer to artists like Bowie, Tom Petty, and Prince. He started RUBEO shortly after his wife divorced him as a way of following his passion and to combat loneliness and depression.
Joe says "when you set out to share your art with others it can be scary and vulnerable, but to see how your story and expression can influence people is one of the great powers and mysteries music provides the world and is such an important part of what makes us human."
