Dr. Luke gives OK for Kesha to perform

Posted

Dr. Luke and his record label say they are giving Kesha the OK to perform at Sunday's Billboard Music Awards.

His label, Kemosabe Records, told The Associated Press on Thursday that they are approving the performance after Kesha reassured them she was not going to highlight their ongoing lawsuit onstage.

The statement read: "Now that Kemosabe has obtained assurances, that it is relying upon, from Kesha, her representatives and Dick Clark Productions that neither Kesha nor her supporters will use the performance as such a platform, the approval has been restored."

Kesha was planning to perform Bob Dylan's "It Ain't Me Babe" at the awards show. Representatives for the Billboard Awards didn't immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
