A New York judge has tossed out a Kentucky man's claims that the trailer accompanying Beyonce's visual album "Lemonade" used ideas from his short film.

Federal Judge Jed Rakoff threw out Matthew Fulks' copyright infringement lawsuit Wednesday. Rakoff said he would explain his reasoning later.

In June, the Louisville filmmaker filed the lawsuit against Beyonce and the singer's management company, Parkwood Entertainment, along with Sony Music Entertainment and Columbia Recording Corp.

Fulks said the producers of Beyonce's "Lemonade" copied parts of his 2014 short film, "Palinoia."

The lawsuit alleged "Lemonade" was produced months after a senior vice president at Columbia had been sent a link to his film.

Representatives for Beyonce and the corporations didn't immediately respond to requests for comment Thursday.

Lawyers also didn't immediately comment.
