5 things to know about MacDill AirFest 2016

It's the most wonderful time of the year for AirFest fans! As usual there will be displays of military aircraft, aerial demonstrations and much more.

  • March 19-20
  • Gates open at 8 a.m.
  • Opening ceremonies begin at 11:15 a.m.
  • Mac Dill Air Force Base
    6801 S Dale Mabry Highway (entrance to base)

5 THINGS TO KNOW

1. What should I bring? Organizers suggest the following might come in handy:

  • Money
  • Sunscreen/sun block, hat and sunglasses
  • Camera
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Ear Plugs
  • Foldable chairs
  • Small umbrellas 

2. What should I NOT bring?

  • Firearms, replica or toy weapons, stun guns
  • Knives and cutting devices of any size
  • Fireworks
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Drugs
  • Skates, roller blades, skateboards, scooters, or hoverboards
