Melanie Martinez is known for her two-tone hair. She's also known for her way of twisting a song into something unique. For the second time, she brings her vocal craft to Kansas City, and she's not here for the barbeque.
"There was, like, this market next to the venue that we were playing at, and there was the best chocolate milk, ever there," she said. Martinez is hoping to find it again.
Martinez recently released a concept album. The first hit off Cry Baby is Carousel. Carousel was also picked to be used in the American Horror Story: Freak show trailer. Martinez is also a huge fan of the show.
Next, she plans to release more music videos from the album.
Martinez is also known from Season 3 of "The Voice." (She chose Team Adam.) She's now known as a unique performer who attracts thousands. After selling out the Riot Room last year, she played the Midland in March.
"I had a very small group of friends, and now I feel like the group is getting bigger, and bigger."
