The food served at your wedding reception is one of the stars of your big night. Jennifer Fuentes Karl of Brancato’s Catering joins us with some delicious, unique ideas that are sure to impress your wedding guests.

Aperol Frose Recipe

Ingredients:

§ 1 bottle (750ml) rosé (Choose a full-flavored, full-bodied, dark-colored rosé for freezing – since it gets diluted, you want it to hold its color)
§ 2 oz (60ml) Aperol
§ 2.5 oz (60ml) fresh lemon juice
§ 1/2 cup of macerated strawberries – blended and strained through a fine mesh sieve – chill 30 minutes before adding to recipe.

Preparation:

§ Pour entire bottle of rosé to a large tupperware container or 9x13 baking dish
§ Add Aperol, Cointreau, lemon juice, and strawberry puree
§ Stir well, cover tightly, and freeze overnight (or a minimum of 6 hours)
§ Pull out of freezer and let slightly thaw on countertop for about 30 minutes.
§ Scrape and mash frozen cocktail to a slushy consistency
§ Scoop into an old-fashioned champagne glass and garnish with a fresh raspberry
