In Kansas City, 25% of boys live in a single-parent home. 308 of them are currently waiting for a Big Brother. What’s more, 87% of these boys live in a home without their biological dad. These local boys are at risk of growing up without a positive male role model that will stand by them and empower them to realize their full potential. That’s why Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City is on a mission to recruit 90 men in 90 days who are up to the challenge to make a positive impact in a young man’s life. Tahir Artwater of Big Brothers Big along with Big Brother Sahin Hoque and little brother Thien Nguyen talk about getting people to step up and make a difference.
