It follows the journey of young women who desegregated America's schools. Author Rachel Devlin uncovered more than a dozen unknown or unexamined school desegregation lawsuits filed by girls and their families in the late 1940s. Their stories are all shared in her book, " A Girl Stands at the Door ".
