It all started with a desire to revive Independence Square in Independence, Missouri. Since then, Ophelia's restaurant along with 15 other businesses have been serving up great food and great memories at the corner of Main and Maple. Ophelia's executive chef, Bobby Stearns serves something up for National Burger Month.
Ophelia’s Bison Meatloaf Burger
Bison Meatloaf Mix:
Yield: Four 8-ounce patties
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground Bison
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. panko bread crumbs
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp. yellow mustard
- 3 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tbsp. sambal red pepper paste
- 1 tbsp. kosher salt
- 2 tbsp. black pepper
- Sauté yellow onion and garlic until golden brown and cool.
- Add onions and garlic meatloaf mix.
- Combine all ingredients and mix until well incorporated.
- Form into 8-ounce patties.
- Grill or pan fry to an internal temperature of 160 degrees.
