Ingredients
3 cups cooked jasmine rice
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 teaspoons ginger, finely chopped
1 green onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons mirin (Japanese rice wine)
3 ounces bacon, diced
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Directions
In a medium size pan over med/high heat, add oil and garlic. Saute quickly.
Add rice and let rice cook with out stirring for 3-4 minutes. Add bacon and stir rice. Continue cooking rice until bacon has crisped. Add soy sauce and mirin.
Poached Egg
Ingredients
2 fresh eggs
¼ cup white wine vinegar.
2 quarts water
Directions
Put water in a stainless steel pot and bring it to a simmer.
Add vinegar.
Crack eggs individually into a ramekin.
Create a gentle whirlpool in the water to help the egg
White wrap around the yolk.
Slowly tip the egg into the water. Let cook for three
Let egg simmer in water for 3 minutes.
Remove with a slotted spoon, and drain onto a paper towel.
Garnish with fresh cilantro and sliced scallion .
