Did you know fireworks, thunderstorms and other loud summertime noises can trigger fear, anxiety and stress for dogs similar to a panic attack for humans? More dogs run away on the Fourth of July than any other day of the year after being scared of fireworks. July 5th is the busiest day of the year for animal shelters across the country. Dr. Todd McCracken, a veterinary services manager with Ceva Animal Health, talks about the signs you should look for and what you can do now to prepare your dog for a fear-free Fourth of July and summer.
