Hog Bones in Sweet/Spicy Asian Sauce
8 Bone-In Pork Shanks
For the Sauce:
1 quart sweet thai chili sauce
1 cup ponzu sauce
¼ cup sambal
2 tbsp Korean bean paste
2 tbsp black pepper
¼ cup chopped fresh garlic
2 oz Orange Juice
¼ cup honey
1). Roast Pork shanks in a 400 degree oven for 20-25 min or until internal temperature reaches 165.
--alternative preparation is to use a deep fryer
2). Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl, whisk together.
3). Toss pork shanks in sauce to coat thoroughly, serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing, carrots and celery.
