Spider eggs
serves 8-10
6 each whole eggs
12 drops blue food coloring
12 drops black food coloring
1/2 each avocado, peeled and pitted,
1/2 tsp salt
1/4-1/2 tsp lemon juice
dash cholula, or the hot sauce of your choice
18 each black olives, pitted
Place the eggs into a pot of cold water.
Bring to a boil.
Cover and turn off the heat, wait 10 minutes.
Rinse the eggs over cool water and thoroughly dry.
Gently crack the eggs all over.
Using a zipper bag, place the food coloring in the bag.
Place the eggs in the bag and allow to stand for 4 hours or over night.
Gently peel off the shell. and cut the eggs in half lengthwise.
Scoop out the egg yolks into a bowl with 1/2 the avocado.
Mix together. 
Season with salt, lemon juice, and hot sauce
Using a clean zipper bag, fill the bag with the egg yolk and avocado mixture.
Seal the bag and snip off a bottom corner of the bag with scissors, leaving a 1/4" hole.
Using the bag as a piping bag, fill the egg whites with the green told mixture.  I do dots, so it looks like spiders eggs.
Cut the olives in half lengthwise
Place 1/2 of the olive in the center of the egg as the body.
Slice the other half horizontally creating slivers for eggs.  3-4 slices on each side of the spider body.  Each egg will utilize about 1 1/2 olives.

Zombie eyes
serves 6
6 each whole eggs
20 drops red food coloring, or more if desired
1/2 each avocado, peeled and pitted
1/2 tsp salt
1/4-1/2 tsp lemon juice
2 Tbs blue cheese
dash cholula, or hot sauce of your choice
green olives stuffed with pimentos
Place the eggs into a pot of cold water.

* Tear open the eggs on the horizontal line creating a creepy line.  Pinch a small hole in the egg white just large enough for an olive.
Scoop out the egg yolks into a bowl with 1/2 the avocado.
Mix together. 
Season with salt, lemon juice, hot sauce and blue cheese
Using a clean zipper bag, fill the bag with the egg yolk and avocado mixture.
Seal the bag and snip off a bottom corner of the bag with scissors, leaving a 1/4" hole.
Using the bag as a piping bag, fill the egg white bottom with the green yolk mixture. place the top of the egg white back on the egg, making sure the whole lines up.
Cut the green olives in half on the horizontal.
Stuff the hole with the green olive, pimento facing out
Serve in an egg cup with alfalfa sprouts as the "brains."
As an additional option, serve with a bowl of noodles for brains, like soba noodles with broth, or squid ink (black noodles) make sure there are plenty of bean sprouts floating around, for the most stellar affect
