UPDATE 2/6 - Police have charged 25-year-old Ryne W. Greathouse with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action for shooting a woman at a Belton hotel.
The victim in this case is in stable condition and recovering at a local area hospital. The investigation revealed that the victim and Greathouse did know one another.
Greathouse is being held at the Cass County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

Belton police have arrested a man they say shot a woman inside the Hampton Inn on Friday morning.
The call for help came in at 11:18 a.m. Police said the woman was talking before going to the hospital, but that she also had multiple gun shot wounds.
Belton police surrounded a nearby Casey's around 2:30 p.m. Friday and took the suspect into custody. A silver Lexus SUV matching the description of the suspects car was towed from the parking lot of the Casey's.

The condition of the woman shot is still unclear. Police say they will not be releasing the suspect's name until charges against the man are filed.
