Champagne and Chocolate raises money for family healthcare. A chef stops by the 41 Action News studio to preview some of the dishes being prepared for the event.
Here are the recipes:
Cannolis:
- 8 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 2 T powdered sugar
- 1/2 t ea. almond & vanilla extract
- 3 cannoli shells
- mini choc chip, chopped maraschino cherries & sliced almonds for decoration
Mix ricotta, sugar & extract. Using a knife, stuff filling into both ends of shell until they meet in the middle. Scrap all excess off ends, then dip both ends into your choice of chips, cherries etc.
Gooey Butter Bars: 350 degrees 45 mins
- 1 box cake mix
- 2 sticks melted & divided
- 4 eggs
- 1 8 oz cream cheese- room temp
- 1 T vanilla extract
- 1 18 oz powdered sugar
Preheat oven-350, line a 13x9 baking pan w/foil, letting excess fold over edges. Spray liberally with cooking spray.
In large bowl, mixcake mix, 1 stick melted butter & 1 egg until dough forms. Press into prepared pan.
Beat cream cheese & vanilla until smooth, beat in remaining butter, eggs & powdered sugar until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan & bake for 45 mins. DO NOT overbake
Cool completely before cutting.
