KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It’s parade time!

But, in this case, you do the marching!

The 2018 Parade of Homes is here, running April 28 through May 13.

More than 373 homes across the metro, representing some 125 builders, are ready for your inspection.

This morning, 41 Action News got a preview of a maintenance-free duplex in the Village of Shoal Creek.

Builder Scott Davis of Brookfield Residential gave us the early-bird tour of the three bedroom, three bath ranch.

According to Davis, with a price point starting in the mid $200,000s, this is a great starter home or the perfect “next step” for empty nesters.

In addition to the home itself, the many neighborhood amenities such as a private water-park and near-by shops and restaurants make this a popular spot.

This is the second largest Parade of Homes in the country and has been showing off the latest innovations, styles and décor ideas since 1947.

The homes are open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and admission is free.

Also, you can bring a non-perishable food item with you to help Harvesters feed the hungry.

So many good reasons to march through this year’s Parade of Homes!
