UPDATE (3/6): A Kansas City man faces charges in a wreck that injured 10 people on Saturday night.
Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said 25-year-old Hakeem Harris has been charged with kidnapping, armed criminal action, resisting arrest and driving while revoked.
According to court records, police had responded on a reported assault involving Harris earlier on Saturday. A woman acquaintance told police she had been assaulted and held against her will for up to two hours. Later, police said they saw the vehicle that Harris reportedly was driving. Harris fled from police until he ran a red light at Truman Road and crashed into a vehicle. Other vehicles were involved in the wreck and multiple people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $100,000.

Police say the wreck happened following a police chase in regards to a kidnapping case.
The suspect's vehicle hit a SUV, resulting in a four-vehicle wreck.
A 12-year-old boy was ejected from one of the vehicles. He is in critical condition.

The suspects are in custody and were among those transported to to the hospital. After they are treated, they will be transferred to police.
No details on the kidnapping incident that resulted in the chase.
