KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City scrubs company donated $25,000 worth of its gear to Children’s Mercy – with a little help from a Kansas City Chief.

Punter Dustin Colquitt helped with the TiScrubs delivery on Tuesday and presented a signed football to Paul Kempinski, Children’s Mercy president and CEO.

Colquitt said they are “just trying to bless” the health care workers in the area.

“We just wanted to tell them that we’re thinking about them, that they’re coming up huge in our community from people that need it the most,” Colquitt said, “and they’re part of Kansas City, and they’re part of our community and in our hearts and our minds.”

Kempinski said it means a lot that TiScrubs made the donation.

“(The scrubs are) going to go to great use because they’re supporting our incredible teams who are working on the front lines of delivering care,” Kempinski said.
