2 dead, 1 injured in Douglas County triple shooting

UPDATE, Feb. 15, 9:30 p.m. | The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has identified the shooting victims as 51-year-old Ramon V. Muhammad, of Lawrence, who died at the scene; 31-year-old Austin J. Crystal, of Lawrence, who died after being transported to the hospital; and 58-year-old Ronald W. Crystal, of Lawrence, who is in stable condition.

UPDATE, Feb. 14, 7 p.m. | The third victim now is in stable condition. The Douglas County Sheriff's office still is investigating the shooting but said in a tweet Sunday night that they don't believe a suspect is at large.

UPDATE: Feb. 14, 10:30 a.m. | The Douglas County Sheriff's Department says another one of the adult males injured in the shooting died overnight from apparent gunshot wounds.

The identity of the two killed will not be released until next of kin is notified.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is encouraged to call the Douglas County Sheriff's Department.

ORIGINAL STORY, Feb. 13 | One person is dead and two suffered life-threatening injuries following a triple shooting Saturday night in Douglas County.

Douglas County sheriff’s deputies responded around 6:22 p.m. to the 2000 block of East 1100 Road on a reported shooting, where the three victims were located.

One victim was deceased when deputies arrived.

The others were transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
