1 dead after shooting on Freeman Drive in KCK, police say

UPDATE, Jan. 19 | The victim was identified as 18-year-old Clinton Sherwood.

ORIGINAL STORY, Jan. 15 | One person died in a shooting Friday in Kansas City, Kansas, police said.

Shortly before noon, officers were called to a home in the 600 block of Freeman Drive, according to a police spokesperson.

A male in his late teens was found shot to death inside the residence.

No suspects were in custody later Friday afternoon.

The police department's Major Case Unit is investigating the deadly shooting.
