KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in the area of Interstate 35 and Southwest Boulevard, per Kansas City, Missouri, police.
Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department personnel were called to the scene around 11:30 a.m.
Police said the investigation into the incident revealed a red Nissan was traveling southbound when the driver failed to negotiate the curve and left the roadway to the left.
The driver then crossed the grassy median and entered the northbound lanes, striking a Subaru in the No. 3 lane.
KCFD originally reported that two of four patients were critically injured.
Later, police said only one was critically injured, the driver of the Nissan, who was the sole occupant of that vehicle. Police said the three occupants of the Subaru sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
