2 shot, suspect arrested in Friday shooting in KCMO

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two people are expected to recover after being shot Friday afternoon in the Northeast neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri.

Police were notified around 3 p.m. of a reported shooting in the 100 block of Bellaire Avenue.

Officers located two shooting victims. They were taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police say they took a possible suspect into custody near St. John Avenue and Hardesty Avenue.
