KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three people are in custody after a high-speed chase began in Kansas City, Missouri and wound through Kansas City, Kansas.

Officers began pursuing the vehicle in KCMO near I-35 and Front St. They were looking for Shannon Dace, who was wanted on a warrant for obstructing apprehension of prosecution in the murder of Kevin Fowler. Fowler was killed in KCK on August 30, 2017.

Police say the suspects were throwing drugs out of the car windows on at least three separate occasions.

The suspects hit two sets of stop sticks before a Kansas Highway Patrol vehicle used a maneuver to spin the car around.

All three suspects, including Dace, then exited the vehicle near 51st and Parallel Parkway in KCK with their hands in the air and surrendered without incident.

Kansas City, Kansas, police told 41 Action News the homicide suspect is a white woman in her 30s, who is wanted in connection to the Aug. 30, 2017 killing of Kevin Fowler.

Officials said no one was injured during the chase.
