7-vehicle crash closes northbound lanes of I-435 between Shawnee Mission Parkway, Johnson Drive

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The northbound lanes of Interstate 435 between Shawnee Mission Parkway and Johnson Drive are closed as crews clear the scene of a seven-vehicle crash.

The crash occurred around 1:05 p.m. Wednesday.

The Shawnee, Kansas, Police Department said four individuals were taken to local hospitals. They are all in stable condition.

The lanes remained closed at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday.

The crash is under investigation.
