KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police have the rape suspect in custody who they say posed as an Uber driver in entertainment districts to lure victims.

Lenexa police arrested 33-year-old Antwan T. Crosby Thursday afternoon.

He was taken into custody for failing to appear in court for a 2015 identity theft case.

He has been wanted in Missouri on aggravated rape charges after KCPD said he was a suspect in numerous sexual assaults in the metro area.

Police said Crosby was known to prey on intoxicated women near Westport and the Power & Light districts.

One victim claimed she was intoxicated when leaving Westport around 2:30 a.m. and had no memory of anything until she woke up at 3:45 a.m. to find the suspect raping her.

She told police she fought back and her attacker eventually stopped, but first drove them to an ATM and forced her to give over her credit card information and withdraw $200.

Photos taken by the ATM were later used to identify Crosby.

It's unclear when and if he will be transferred to Missouri.
