Four people have surrendered without incident following a police standoff in Westside KC.

According to the authorities, two Hispanic males in their late teens robbed a construction worker at gunpoint near 26th and Madison around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The two male robbery suspects then fled into a residence in the 900 block of West 27th Street. Two women were also inside the residence at the time. It's unknown if the females were involved in the armed robbery.

Negotiators were able to persuade all individuals inside the home to peacefully surrender.

Detectives are waiting on a warrant before searching the residence for any other occupants, along with evidence in regard to the robbery.

Further information will be released as the investigation continues.
