Porschea Jeffries knows the pain of losing a loved one to gun violence. Her father, former Oklahoma State basketball star Royce Jeffries, was shot and killed while working as a bouncer for Bob's Bar and Grill.
"It's hard to know that he died here, and it's not because he was sick or he was in a car accident," she said. "Someone took his life. He was murdered. It's hard."
Now, another family is experiencing the same pain Porschea has felt for the last six months. On Saturday, a man yet to be identified by police was shot outside the same bar.
“Now your family, my family are losing men, we're losing men over foolishness," said Porschea.
Carlton Glynn is charged with Royce Jeffries' murder.
Prosecutors say Glynn got into a fight inside the bar, and Jeffries kicked him out.
Police have not revealed if they've arrested anyone in connection with this weekend's shooting.
Even with this latest murder at Bob's Bar and Grill, Porschea say she holds no ill-will towards the bar.
“It's not the establishment, it's the people, and people have to change their mindset. It's not worth shooting someone else," said Porschea.
