The KCK couple accused of abusing and killing a young boy now face life in prison.
On Thursday prosecutors upgraded charges against Michael and Heather Jones. The duo now face premeditated murder and felony child abuse charges.
Investigators say they abused and killed Michael Jones' son "AJ." Police found the remains of a child at the couple's home late last year.
