Child grazed in the head by bullet Friday night

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 9-year-old child is recovering after being grazed in the head by a bullet Friday night.

Kansas City, Missouri, police were called to the shooting at East 69th and James A. Reed Road just before 10:30 p.m. They say someone shot into the house from a vehicle passing outside.

The child's family took the victim to the hospital.

According to police, the house had several recent bullet holes in the exterior. They also found spent shell casings in the roadway in front of the house.
