KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Chillicothe man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 at 7th Street on Tuesday afternoon.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says shortly after noon, a 2012 Mazda 5, driven by a 78-year-old Chillicothe man, was northbound on I-35 at 7th Street when the vehicle went off the roadway to the right, went down an embankment and struck a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
