KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man who spent time in prison for armed robbery could be going back to prison after being charged with four KCMO robberies.
James Jones, 31, of Kansas City, Missouri, is accused of robbing one Family Dollar store four times since December 2018.
The first robbery happened on Dec. 15, 2018, at the Family Dollar Store at 3017 Prospect Ave.
Jones allegedly covered his face with a white surgical mask during the robbery.
Court documents reveal Jones wore a white surgical mask during a string of armed robberies in 2014.
Jones robbed the Prospect Avenue Family Dollar Store three more times and tried to rob a Family Dollar store at 4601 Truman Rd. in Kansas City.
Police caught up with Jones using store surveillance video and a license plate reader.
Officers arrested Jones on Wednesday at 1715 Main St., in Kansas City.
Court records state Jones wore the same shoes that matched robberies the day before and on March 1.
Jones was convicted of armed robbery in 2006 and was sentenced to eight years in prison.
