KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man who has previously been convicted of a felony was arrested Tuesday night when he struck a KCKPD car and a gun was discovered in his vehicle.
KCKPD Chief Terry Zeigler tweeted that officers were stopped at 21st and Metropolitan when a vehicle ran a stop sign and collided with their patrol car. The KCKPD vehicle was disabled.

Zeigler also said an assault rifle was found in the man's car.
The driver was then placed under arrest.
The officers were not injured.
