Court documents: KC man told police who shot him before he died

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Missouri, man managed to tell a 911 call taker the name of the man who shot him just before dying.

Heath Morgan called 911 on Nov. 23 from his house at East 57th Street and Indiana Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, according to a court document.

Morgan told the call taker the shooter's name was "Tevin Lynch, with a T," the court document states.

Morgan died at the house a few minutes later.

A man who knew both men said he saw Lynch leave the house the day of the murder, the court document states.

Lynch, 28, of Kansas City, Missouri, is charged in Jackson County Court with second degree murder and armed criminal action.

Prosecutors asked a judge to set Lynch's bond at $250,00 cash only.
