KANSAS CITY, Kan — Wyandotte County, Kansas, sheriff's deputies on a routine patrol of Pierson County Park discovered a dead body Saturday morning.
Deputies were performing a routine check around 10 a.m. — driving around a pond in the park, which is located between 55th and 59th streets just south of Metropolitan Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas — when they spotted a body in the pond.
The unidentified man was dead from an unknown cause. No age or other descriptors have been released.
The body was sent to the morgue for an autopsy to determine cause of death and attempt to identify the individual.
