A victim's injuries were more serious than first thought when Kansas City, Mo., police officers found him early Saturday.
The officers were sent about 1:10 a.m to the 1900 block of Maple Boulevard on a report of a man down in the grass.
The victim was hurt, but his injury that did not appear serious, according to a police department report.
The gunshot wound was found when the victim was being treated at a hospital.
The injury is considered life-threatening.
