FBI offers reward in violent bank robbery in KCMO

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The FBI is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest in what officials described as a "violent takeover" of a KCMO bank.

According to a release, two masked and armed men entered Equity Bank at 6200 NW 63rd Terrace at about 11 a.m.

Bank employees were restrained during the robbery. The suspects fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Officials say it's possible the suspects parked in the east parking lot of the St. Luke's Specialty Hospital and walked between the Twisted Fresh and Edible Arrangement locations when they arrived and when they left.

The first suspect is a white man, approximately 5'10" with a medium build. He was wearing a hooded jacket with long-style black winter coat and black sweatpants. He wore a black mask around his mouth and sunglasses. He was wearing New Balance tennis shoes with orange soles and carried a plain canvass bag. He was armed with a handgun and was reportedly aggressive.

The second suspect was referred to as "Mac" by the first suspect. He is a white man between 5'8" and 5'10" and has a medium to slender build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt under a black Under Armour style jacket with stripes along the sleeves and gray-striped Nike sweatpants. His face was also covered with a mask and sunglasses. He was wearing white tennis shoes with a black stripes across the tops. He was armed wth a black semi-automatic handgun.
