FBI, police seeking man suspected in KCMO armed robberies

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Authorities in Kansas City, Missouri, are seeking a man suspected in two armed robberies over the past month at Boost Mobile stories.

The FBI on Monday said the same man is suspected in both robberies, which occurred on July 28 at the store at 1666 E. 63rd St., and on Aug. 13 at the store at 5906 Prospect Ave.

In each of the robberies, the man was wearing a hat with the word “Mexico” on it and carrying a backpack. The FBI said he was armed with a handgun and fled both robberies on foot.

He is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build and facial hair. He is in his early to late 20s, according to the FBI.

Anyone with information on the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to call 816-474-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.

The FBI has issued a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the robberies.

The FBI is investigating the robberies with the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department as part of its partnership through Operation LeGend.
