KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Southern Platte Fire Protection District was called to a home Wednesday morning in Parkville, Missouri, on a reported fire.
The initial call came in around 3:50 a.m. Wednesday at a house located at 13955 NW 62nd Court in Parkville.

The fire department confirmed to KSHB 41 News a lightning strike was the cause of the fire.
The house sustained minimal damage.
