A former University of Kansas graduate teaching assistant has been found guilty of sex crimes.
Police say 38-year-old Orion M. Graf plead guilty to attempted rape and attempted aggravated sodomy. Graf has been sentenced to prison for 18 years and faces a lifetime registration as a sex offender.
Pictures were observed on Graf's electronic device which showed an unconscious female in various states of undress and sexual contact.
Through the investigation, officers were able to determine the identity of the female and contact her about the findings. She was completely shocked by the images found on Graf's device, and had never given him permission to take nude photographs or for the sexual contact that was portrayed.
The case was investigated in partnership by the Lawrence Police Department and the Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory.
