A former employee of the Youth Center on Fort Leavenworth was found guilty of two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and two counts of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child,
Nicholas Clark, 24, worked at the youth center when he solicited a 13-year-old girl who attended the center, according to Leavenworth County Attorney Todd Thompson.
Thompson says the 13-year-old's mother reported Clark after discovering conversations on her daughter's phone.
"We would ask parents to please pay attention to their children and what they are doing on their phones and other devices," Thompson said. "More and more apps are being developed, and having discussions and paying attention their usage will help prevent future crimes."
Clark's sentencing is set for March 17.
